“Making the impossible possible” is part of the DNA at Brunner, the contract furniture manufacturer from Baden in South Germany. Stylepark publisher Franziska von Schumann and Robert Volhard visited the family-owned company in Rheinau-Freistett and were able to experience the team’s great drive for themselves.

In collaboration with the creative minds at jehs+laub, contract designer furniture makers Brunner have developed “oval”, a flexible lounge system for cozy seating settings that promote interaction, networking, and relaxation, while enabling synergies to be tapped.

At Milan Design Week Brunner presented the first prototypes of “foild” – a light, adjustable room divider, the brainchild of architecture and design studio atelier oï. In this interview, designer Aurel Aebi (one of the three founders of atelier oï) and CEO Dr. Marc Brunner explain the concept.
