Opatz and the association Freunde Frankfurts produce an architectural guide on Frankfurt, titled “Architekturführer Frankfurt.” Each edition addresses one decade of architectural history in the metropolis on the Main. And the guides explore much more than the buildings themselves. The latest publication is dedicated to the 1990s.

The new light

Vibia, Midgard, e15, Diez Office, Neumann Communication and Stylepark present a flexible lighting concept developed by Stefan Diez at Badias Schirn Café in the old town of Frankfurt am Main. The installation was opened last Monday evening with an atmospheric dinner.

Alpine Grandeur

A modern "village in village" is currently taking shape on land formerly used by the military in Andermatt, Switzerland. The project is a brainchild of entrepreneur Samih Sawiris and one element of it is "Mira", an apartment house designed by Ilg Santer Architekten and atelier 522, containing 18 duplex apartments. It is scheduled for completion by 2023.
